We blend care and compassion with

technical excellence

LPS believes in offering transparency and support throughout the entire legal journey.

The English justice system is currently broken, but we are on a mission to fix it for our clients.

We recognise the system’s failings, and our core philosophy is to help our clients identify problems early and to resolve them quickly.

Dispute Prevention: where every client is our partner.

Our focus is to work within our clients professional team: to help identify legal issues early and to negotiate a commercial solution – so much healthier than unpredictable and costly court battles.

About us

We believe the new era of law prioritises care, clarity, and conviction.

Founded in 2010, Lachlan Palmer solicitors is a niche legal practice specialising in dispute resolution. Our team is made up of leading legal professionals, but we talk straight and we are completely outcome focused.

We are in the business of helping people.

We prioritise our clients. By enquiring about our clients’ financial constraints and their emotional investment in a specific legal problem, we are usually able to create a tailored, fixed-fee agreement.

In contrast to the usual charging model (ie ‘we charge by the hour, but can’t tell you how many hours we will spend’ – annoying, we agree!) our approach ensures that each client, regardless of their financial capacity, receives the optimal service their problem deserves.

In circumstances where law is always evolving but budgeting is crucial, we understand that having a reliable legal partner (who adds value and not stress) is a big business priority.

Disclaimer: While we strive to accommodate various budgets, certain limits may apply. We do not provide free legal counsel.

Our Approach

At LPS, we recognise the inherent risks in the justice system that all clients face. It’s why we advocate for negotiation over litigation. The complexities and unpredictability of court proceedings make them a risk. Our approach wherever possible is to resolve conflicts without resorting to litigation. We offer our clients a balanced, empathetic, and cost effective pathway to conflict resolution.

But we also understand that sometimes, court intervention is inevitable. Whenever appropriate within Court proceedings, LPS offers innovative funding solutions, including DBAs (damages based agreements) CFAs (conditional fee agreements) and fixed fees to prosecute good legal claims. We are also alive to all insurance options which might help clients to discharge their obligations to meet legal fees.

Success stories

Hi Vanessa

Thank you for your email I received the Deed of Settlement this morning.

I would also like to thank you for everything you have done for me. I know it hasn’t been easy or straightforward and I really appreciate all the help you have given. I don’t think I would have made it without your help and support. Hopefully you don’t get too many clients like me.

Hope you and your family are well and coping with this second lockdown.

Again thank you so much.

Kind regards

Simon Terry provided an excellent service assisting us in the commercial contracting of a number of global businesses – quick to grasp and advise on complex commercial matters and finding a means of concisely representing them to protect the interests and  growth of our business.

Simon Taylor,  Group Commercial Director for The Eden Club

Hi Vanessa,
I would like to thank you for your commitment and professionalism throughout this case and would happily recommend you guys to any other poor sod in the same predicament.

Morning Vanessa,
I would also like to express my thanks and appreciation for your hard work on this case. Throughout, you have remained professional and provided us with excellent advice of which we are both grateful.

When I searched for a law firm to take on this case, I Googled, found LPS and read a few reviews on the firm. I have to say that LPS should feel proud to have you and equally, I would have no hesitation in recommending LPS.

Whilst the result was not a clean break, an 80% reduction with no extras and repayment of the last 3 months is an amazing achievement; variation of spousal maintenance is a very difficult case to prove!!

Vanessa,
Thank you for everything, you have been truly amazing. My future is sunny now, for which I will always remember you.

Vanessa,

I would just like to close by saying that I genuinely appreciate everything you have done for me. Not only have you been extremely professional, but you also brought a human and understanding element into a very stressful and unpleasant situation and made everything so much easier to cope with.

In the nicest possible way, I hope that we don’t have to meet again on a professional basis. I wish you and yours well and hope that those who have need of your services in the future will appreciate you and everything you do for them.

Dear Peter, Emma and Liz,

Thank you very much for your work, you have done a really great job on the sale of our Company, and considering it was just within a matter of weeks, awesome.

I have employed Simon Terry on several occasions, over 10 years, ranging from personal legal issues to Mergers and Acquisitions. I have found Simon to be efficient, professional and cost effective. Simon is highly results focussed, very effective and a pleasure to do business with.

I would recommend Simon without hesitation and I will continue to work with him in the future.

David Sowerbutts, CEO, Oxygen Associates Limited (Management Consulting Company to FTSE100 Major Enterprises).

Simon Terry provided a complete legal service as I sold my company. Whilst this process had the usual issues (due diligence, negotiation, settlement, etc) Simon was proven more than equal to the task of managing everything smoothly.

I would recommend anyone to use Simon’s expertise for an effective and trustworthy legal service that achieves what the client wants. I would particularly draw out Simon’s ability to listen to the client’s needs and protect their position as though he were a close member of the internal team.

Shilpa Sanghani, Managing Director (Opticians and Eye Care).
